Funeral services for Kathryn Lavern Surface, of Brookhaven, are Friday, Jan. 15, 2016, at 11 a.m. at Mt. Moriah Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery. Riverwood Family Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements. 

Visitation is Thursday, Jan. 14, 2016, from 5 until 8 p.m. at Riverwood and will resume Friday at 10 a.m. until the time of services at Mt. Moriah.

Mrs. Surface, 76, died Tuesday, Jan. 12, 2016. She was born Nov. 16, 1939, to

Authur Clyde Davis and Marie Graves Davis.

She was retired from Jacobson’s Lawn Mower Plant and a member of Mt. Moriah Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her son, Rick Surface; mother, Marie Davis; father,

Authur Clyde Davis; brothers, Harold Lloyd Davis and Authur Clyde Davis Jr.; and sister, Margaret Knight.

Survivors are her daughter, Kim Honea and husband, Donald, of Porter, Texas; sons, Mike Surface and wife, Jane, of Sikeston, Missouri and Eric Surface and wife, Stephanie, of Bogue Chitto; brother, Ronnie Davis of Brookhaven; sisters, Barb Wright of Benton, Missouri, and Carla Davis of Oran, Missouri; 13 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
