Local Weather Statistics

The Wastewater Treatment Facility in Brookhaven reported a high of 63 degrees for Monday and a low of 46. The temperature at 7:30 a.m. Monday was 46 degrees. There was 1.9 inches of precipitation.

 

River Stages

On Monday the Mississippi River stage at Vicksburg, where the flood stage is 43 feet, was 37.1, up 0.2 inches in the past 24 hours. In Natchez, where the flood stage is 48 feet, was 44.1, up 0.2 inches in the past 24 hours. The Pearl River stage at Jackson, were the flood stage is 28 feet, was 15.7, down 3.5 inch in the past 24 hours.

 

Brookhaven Fire Department

The Brookhaven Fire Department responded to a single vehicle accident with injuries at 12:30 a.m. Sunday on I-55 S. at mile marker 31.

The Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department reported five calls for Saturday through Monday.

 

Copiah County Reports

The Wesson Police Department responded to multiple calls regarding storm damage for Monday.

 

King’s Daughters Ambulance Report

King’s Daughters Medical Center Ambulance Service reports 37 calls for Saturday through Monday; with four transfers, one to Jackson, one in the city and two to Pike County. There were 33 emergencies; 21 medical, with nine in the city and 12 in the county; two traumas, with one in the city and one in the county; eight MVAs, with five in the city and three in the county; and two cardiac, with one in the city and one in the county.
