Funeral services for Glen Dalton Gill of Clarksdale are Saturday, Feb. 27, 2016, at 11 a.m. at First United Methodist Church in Clarksdale with burial in the Memorial Gardens. Meredith-Nowell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. 

Visitation is Friday, Feb. 26, 2016, from 5 until 7 p.m. at Meredith-Nowell Funeral Home.

Mr. Gill, 74, died Wednesday, Feb. 24, 2016, at his residence.

Mr. Gill was the retired owner and operator of Style Shoppe Bootery for over 30 years. Glen was a native of Ruth. He lived in Clarksdale in Coahoma County for 34 years, was a U.S. Army veteran and a member of First United Methodist Church. He graduated from Ruth High School in 1961. He began his career in the shoe business and continued it in Clarksdale.

Preceding him in death were his wife, Mona Carraway Gill; son, Kenneth Gill; parents, James and Breness Westbrook Gill; sister, Bonita Freeman; and brother, Earl Gill.

Survivors are his four children, Glen Gill (Christy Butler) of Corinth, David Gill of Batesville, Arkansas, Dewayne Gill (Jessica Chiles) of Clarksdale and Mark Gill (Mirel) of Brandon; three brothers, Elton Gill (Elaine) of Montgomery, Alabama, Robert Gill (Billie) of Citronelle, Alabama, and Curtis Gill (Betty) of Lucedale; three sisters, Hilda Ward (Gene) of Mobile, Alabama, Reba Nipper (Jack) of Tampa, Florida, and Wilda Jackson of Huntsville, Alabama; and two grandchildren, Allen Gill of Memphis, Tennessee, and Kelli Gill of Batesville, Arkansas.
