A native of Copiah County, Mrs. Weeks was born in Beauregard, graduated from Wesson High School and attended Co-Lin Community College. She worked for the State of Mississippi Board of Education for 30 years, retiring in 1979. That same year, she came out of retirement to work another 20 years at Co-Lin Community College. She was the Copiah County Election Commissioner for 28 years, resigning her office in 2013.

She was an active member of the Beauregard United Methodist Church. She was loved and respected by all who knew her. Her genuineness, trustworthiness and fun-loving spirit will be missed by us all.

Preceding her in death were her husband, Billy Weeks, and her parents.

Survivors are her first cousin, Mack Hales; and her “extended family” from Jackson, Diccie Hales, Perry Hales, Sean Hales, Cameron Hales, Dylan Hales, Schuyler Hales, Caroline Hales and Carter Hales.

The family has asked in lieu of flowers donations may be made to Beauregard United Methodist Church.
