Funeral services for Kathryn Ann Lovette, 69, of Wesson will be Tuesday, May 3, 2016, at Riverwood Family Funeral Service at 10 a.m. with interment at Mission Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.
Visitation is Monday, May 2, 2016, at Riverwood Family Funeral Service, from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m.
Mrs. Lovette died April 30, 2016. She was born on March 24, 1947. She was a graduate of Belden Elementary and High School, Itawamba Junior College, and the University of Southern Mississippi, with a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary and Secondary Education with an emphasis in Social Studies/American History. She was a teacher in the Lincoln County School System working as a dedicated faculty member of Loyd Star School for 30 plus years. She was honored as STAR Teacher and a member of Kappa Kappa Iota Sorority. Mrs. Lovette was a member of Wesson Baptist Church.
Preceding her in death were her parents, James Vernon and Mary Jane Davis and her in-laws, James Alton and Carolyn Warren.
Survivors are her husband, James K. Lovette; daughter, Alicia Michelle Lovette; brother, James Floyd Davis and wife Jean of Blue Spring; nephew, Keith Davis and wife Lisa of Belden; nieces, Renee Dulaney and husband Wayne of Belden, Stacy L. Magee, of Brookhaven, and Cindy McLain of Tulsa, Oklahoma; great nephews and great nieces, Race Davis, Hallie Davis, Hillary Shaw and Sloan Matthews, all of Belden, Hamp Shaw of Oxford, Ashley Dulaney of Burbank, California, Laura Leigh White of Brookhaven, and Alex McLain of Tulsa, Oklahoma. She is also survived by her uncles, I.B. Davis of Mantachie, and Robert L. Davis and wife Josephine of Furrs; special foster uncle, Floyd Todd of Ecru, and cousins, Freida Carlock and family, Nancy Davis and family, Joyce Johnson and family, Nelda Cunningham and family, Terry Maxcy and family, Jerry Maxcy and family, Earl Creely and family, Gerald Creely, David and Faye Reagh.
Other survivors include her sister-in-law Shirley Magee and husband Harley; Debbie Lovette, Barbara Pellet, and Linda Bowman and special friends, Judy Ballard, Bonnie Webb, Shirley Irwin and Sheila Wood all of Tupelo, Dot Langham, of Alabama, Sharon Long of Tylertown, Betty Drye, of Missouri, the Harold Gary family of Brookhaven, Sonny and Alyene Taylor of Brookhaven, Sandra Bowman of Wesson, the entire faculty and staff from Loyd Star and Lincoln County Schools and numerous other close friends.
