Funeral services for Aline Hedgepeth Dunn of Monticello are Saturday, May 28, 2016, at 2 p.m. at Carmel Baptist Church with burial in Carmel Cemetery. Her sons will officiate the service. Pallbearers are Rob Dunn, Chris Dunn, Samuel Dunn, Joshua Dunn, Matt Payment, Brandon Strickland, Brandon Chancellor and Kenneth Harbuck. Wilson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Visitation is Friday, May 27, 2016, from 5 until 8 p.m. and will continue Saturday, May 28, 2016, from 1 p.m. until time of services at Carmel Baptist Church.
Mrs. Dunn, 82, died Tuesday, May 24, 2016, at Lawrence County Hospital. She was born March 10, 1934, in Monticello to David and Eula Lee Polk Hedgepeth.
Mrs. Dunn was a pastor’s wife and taught Sunday school for 63 years. She was a homemaker who loved gardening, reading and spending time with her family. She was a member of Carmel Baptist Church and a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Preceding her in death were her parents, David and Eula Lee Polk Hedgepeth; and brother, Rev. John D. Hedgepeth.
Survivors are her husband of more than 65 years, Rev. Robert L. Dunn Sr.; sons, R. Leon Dunn Jr. and wife, Karen, of Hammond, Louisiana, Dennis E. Dunn and wife, Darlene, of Saraland, Alabama, David E. Dunn of Monticello and Mark E. Dunn and wife, Susan, of Jackson, Alabama; daughter, Robyn Dunn Payment of Atlanta, Georgia; sister, Carolee Hedgepeth Seale and husband, Charlie, of Meadville; brother, Kenneth J. Hedgepeth and wife, Brenda, of Monticello; grandchildren, Rob, Chris, Amanda, Tracie, Samuel, Joshua, Tiffanie, Brittnie, Whittnie, Matt and Mackenzie; six great-grandchildren; and a host of extended family and friends.
The family would like to express their heartfelt appreciation to the staff of Lawrence County Nursing Center in Monticello for their outstanding and compassionate care.
