Animal control rescues rat snake from car

Brookhaven Animal Control office Roxanne Norton successfully caught the grey rat snake after removing the tire from the vehicle. Animal control personnel informed bystanders that rat snakes are the most common type of snake in this area, but are not poisonous. All residents should be aware of snakes around their vehicles this time of year, Norton said.
