Fire reports

The Brookhaven Fire Department respond to a call June 11 at 1:20 a.m. at 423 Junior Trail NE. Engine 4 responded to a house fire. A candle ignited a fire in a bathroom at the residence. The homeowner put out the fire. No severe damage was reported. Firefighters responded to a fatal accident June 11 at 4:13 p.m. on Allred Drive in Loyd Star. Firefighters responded to a call June 13 at 11:14 a.m. at 210 Hwy. 51 North involving a business with an overheated AC unit. Firefighters cleared the smoke from the business and advised the store manager to call a service technician. Firefighters responded to a fatal accident June 11 at 4:13 p.m. on Allred Drive in Loyd Star.

 

Monticello reports

The Monticello Police Department reported no activity for Saturday through Monday.

The Monticello Fire Department reported no activity for Saturday through Monday.

The Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department responded to two calls Saturday through Monday.

 

Copiah County reports

The Wesson Police Department served three citations Saturday through Monday.

The Copiah County Sheriff’s Department reported no activity Saturday through Monday.

The Wesson Volunteer Fire Department continued with recovery efforts in the Crystal Springs cave Saturday through Monday.

 

Highway Patrol report

Mississippi Highway Patrol Troop M reported two accidents Saturday through Monday. A single-vehicle accident with no injuries was reported on June 11 at Hwy. 51. A one-vehicle accident without injuries was reported at Hwy. 84 westbound near Dollar General June 12.

 

KDMC Ambulance report

King’s Daughters Medical Center Ambulance Service reports 45 calls for Saturday through Monday; with 11 transfers, two in the city, six to Jackson, one to Forrest County, one to Pike County and one to Louisiana. There were 34 emergencies, 24 medical, with 15 in the city and nine in county; two traumas, one in the city and one in the county; and eight motor vehicle accidents, four in the city and four in the county.
