Funeral services for Michael Anthony Carr of Brookhaven are Thursday, June 16, 2016, at 2 p.m. at Riverwood Family Funeral Service with burial in Rosehill Cemetery.

Visitation is Wednesday, June 15, 2016, from 5 until 8 p.m. at Riverwood.

Mr. Carr, 61, died June 14, 2016, at his residence. He was born April 5, 1955 to Joseph Anthony Carr and Betty Johnson Carr.

He was fire chief at Liberty Fire Department and a volunteer firefighter and assistant fire chief at New Sight Volunteer Fire Department.

Preceding him in death was his father.

Survivors are his wife, Kim Brown Carr; mother, Betty Carr; sons, Chadwick Michael Carr, Bradford James Carr and Zachary Memphis Carr; sisters, Jo Ann Young and husband, Oliver, Janet Morgan and husband, Clifton, and Jeannie Wood and husband, Bruce; aunt, Sylvia Goldberg; in-laws, James and Doris Brown; sisters-in-law, Lisa Case and husband, Kim and Julie Case and husband, Anthony; and uncle, Howard Nevels.
