Funeral services for Sara Godbold Henderson Burgess of Caseyville are Wednesday, June 22, 2016, at 10 a.m. at Riverwood Family Funeral Service with burial in Henderson Family Cemetery.

Visitation is Tuesday, June 21, 2016, from 5 until 8 p.m. at Riverwood.

Mrs. Burgess, 92, died Sunday, June 19, 2016, at Country Brook Living Center in Brookhaven. She was born Dec. 3, 1923.

Mrs. Burgess was the founder of Welding Testing Lab and a member of the Church of God.

Preceding her in death were her husbands, Alfred Henderson and J.C Burgess; parents, Lee and Hazel Godbold; and sister, Nan Bailey.

Survivors are her sons, Alfred Garry Henderson and wife, Debra, Larry Lee Henderson and wife, Rosalva, and Michael Shane Henderson and wife, Carmen; brother, Arthur Lee Godbold and wife, Wilma, of Denham Springs, Louisiana; four grandsons, Lance and wife, Maria, Heath and wife, Stacey, Vance and wife, Wendy and Mark and wife, Lisa; two granddaughters, Courtney Henderson and Tiffany and husband, Hunter Fauver; six great-grandchildren, Darah Amelia, Cody and wife, Melissa, Brent and wife, Savannah, Halee and Hannah; and one great-great-grandchild, Macy.
