Funeral services for Velba Humble Lofton are Tuesday, June 21, 2016, at 11 a.m. at Ramah Baptist Church in McCall Creek with burial in Ramah Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Ted Bowlin and Rev. Lonnie Case will officiate.  Brookhaven Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation is Tuesday, June 21, 2016, at the church from 9:30 a.m. until time of services.

Mrs. Lofton, 96, died Sunday, June 19, 2016, at King’s Daughters Medical Center. She was born Aug. 2, 1919, in Abilene, Texas, to Roy L. Humble and Ethel Butler Humble.

Mrs. Lofton was a member of Ramah Baptist Church and a homemaker.

Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Earl C. Lofton; son, Craig Lofton; one brother; and two sisters.

Survivors are her daughters, Carol Mixon and husband, Len, and Barbara McKlemurry and husband, Michael, both of Brookhaven; son Kenneth Lofton and wife, Judy, of Magee; daughter-in-law Theresa Lofton of Magee; grandchildren Chris Taylor, Michele Lofton, Stephanie Lofton, Dustin McKlemurry, Corey Taylor, Ryan Lofton and Nicole Spurlin; great-grandchildren, Anna Taylor, Abby Taylor, Gabby Aultman, Jackie Aultman, William Herrin, Kayla Johnson, Curtis Spurlin, Ethan McKlemurry and Aiden McKlemurry; sister-in-law Louella Kornegay; and a host of nieces and nephews.
