Funeral services for Gordon Thomas “Tommy” Wallace are Tuesday, June 28, 2016, at 11 a.m. at Montgomery Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery. Rev. Larry Russell will officiate.  Jones Family Funeral Home in McComb is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation is Monday, June 27, 2016, from 5 to 8 p.m. and Tuesday, June 28, 2016, from 10 a.m. until the time of service at Montgomery Baptist Church

Mr. Wallace, 55, died June 24, 2016, in Hazlehurst.  He was born December 19, 1960, to Gordon and Lorean Hisaw Wallace.

Wallace graduated from Southwest Mississippi Community College as a LPN.  He worked as an LPN at Southwest Mississippi Regional Medical Center and also at a hospital in Louisiana.  He then worked for many years as the head chef at Fernwood Country Club.  His talent for cooking was never learned at a culinary school, but given by God and taught by his mother and grandmother.  He worked for Will and Gay Austin in his later years.

Preceding him in death were his maternal and paternal grandparents and his nephew, Shaun Wallace.

Survivors are his parents, Gordon and Lorean Wallace of Bogue Chitto; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Timmy and Linda Wallace of Bogue Chitto and Frank and Melanie Wallace of Jayess; special friends, Will and Gay Austin, Karen Stockton and Vicky and Bart Figueiredo; and many other relatives and friends.
