Amy Henderson and Christopher Powell, both of Brookhaven, announce their engagement and approaching marriage.

She is the daughter of Joey and Sybil Freeman, of Brookhaven.

He is the son of Clayton H. Powell, of Brookhaven, and the late Darlene Powell.

The bride-elect is a graduate of Brookhaven High School. She is currently employed as a certified ophthalmic assistant at Kebert Eye Clinic of McComb.

The prospective groom is a graduate of Brookhaven High School and Copiah-Lincoln Community College. He is a U.S. Marine Corps veteran and is currently a production supervisor at ABB Inc. in Crystal Springs.

The couple will exchange vows in a private ceremony at Saturday, July 9, 2016, on the island of St. John’s in Antigua.
