Mason Wells Warren, of Wesson, and Brooklyn Leigh Miller, of Hazlehurst, announce their engagement and approaching marriage.

She is the daughter of Julie Carrol Newman Whittington, of Hazlehurst, and the late Matthew Alan Miller Sr.

He is the son of Cathy Smith Warren and Kenneth Scott Warren, of Wesson.

She is the granddaughter of Lillie Inex Cook Newman and the late Hooker Dupress Newman, Patricia Ann Miller and Kelly Braswell Miller, of Hopewell.

He is the grandson of Patsy Beck Warren and Paul Kenneth Warren, of Brookhaven, the late Lavone Wells Smith and Claude Cecil Smith, of Wesson.

The bride-elect is a 2008 graduate of Copiah Academy and a 2013 graduate of Copiah-Lincoln Community College where she received a registered nurse associate of science degree. She also attended the University of Southern Mississippi. She is currently employed with King’s Daughters Medical Center as a registered nurse.

The prospective groom is a 2006 graduate of Wesson Attendance Center. He is a 2009 graduate of Co-Lin Community College, where is received an associate of arts degree in business administration. He is a 2011 graduate of Mississippi State University, where he received a bachelor of business administration degree. He is currently employed with Sanderson Farms of Gallman.

The couple will exchange vows at sunset on Friday, Aug. 12, 2016, at Secrets Wild Orchid Resort in Montego Bay, Jamaica.
