Funeral services for Paul McGuffie of Bogue Chitto are today at Riverwood Family Funeral Service at 11 a.m. with burial in Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery.

Visitation was on Wednesday, June 6, 2016, from 5 until 8 p.m. at Riverwood.

Mr. McGuffie, 86, died Tuesday, July 5, 2016, at Brook Manor Nursing Home. He was born Jan. 8, 1930, to James “Jim” McGuffie and Maude Nations McGuffie.

He was a retired welder and loved gardening, working in his yard and animals. He was a member of Antioch Baptist Church.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Jim and Maude McGuffie; one granddaughter, Jenny McGuffie; two brothers. Alfred and Hugh McGuffie; and five sisters, Pauline Crane, Edna Blanche Lambert, Jewel Griffith, Lorraine Sutton and Jim Mae White.

Survivors are his wife of 61 years, Annelle Fuller McGuffie; two sons, Ricky L. McGuffie and wife, Angela and Danny P. McGuffie and wife, Kathy; four grandchildren, Rick “Matthew” McGuffie, Jason P. McGuffie, Jason P. McGuffie, Bobby E. McGuffie and D. J. McGuffie; and two great-grandchildren.
