Funeral services for Emma Joyce White Smith are Sunday, July 10, 2016, at 2 p.m. at Riverwood Family Funeral Service with burial in Wesson Cemetery.

Visitation is Saturday, July 9, 2016, from 4 until 8 p.m. at Riverwood.

Mrs. Smith, 90, died Thursday, July 7, 2016, in Brandon. She was born Aug. 24, 1925.

She worked at the Potter Company as a wire winder until retiring. Mrs. Smith was a member of Johnston Station Baptist Church.

Preceding her in death was her husband, Willie Fred Smith; parents, Reuben Frank White and Cornelia Dean White; brothers, Weldon Yates and Frank White; sisters, Dorothy Carlisle Sojourner and Ruth E. Davis; and one grandson, Jimmy L. Brown.

Survivors are her children, Willie “Sonny” Jones and wife, Nell, of Bolton, Joyce M. Dailey of Ringgold, Georgia, Kenneth Smith and wife, Mary, of Dandridge, Tennessee and Steve Smith and wife, Gwen, of Brookhaven; nine granddaughters, Samantha Johnson and husband, Sherwood, of Brandon, Michelle Byrd and husband, Mike, of Brandon, Sende Mitchell and husband, Don, of Roxie, April Kimball and husband, Steve, of Bolton, Tracey  Parsons and husband, Thomas, of Bolton, Chasity Wall of Brookhaven, Candi Smith and husband, Johnny Ralph, of Kodak, Tennessee, Casie Fuller and husband, Rodney, of Brookhaven and Stephanie Wallace and husband, Craig, of Brookhaven; 21 great-grandchildren; 19 great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
