Earl Dorsey Smith, of Marietta, Georgia, died Thursday, July 14, 2016. Arrangements are by Marietta Funeral Home in Marietta, Georgia.

Mr. Smith, 62, was a United States Army Veteran and a Mason. He attended Jackson County Junior College and Jones County Junior College and worked as a pipe fitter, welder and master un-restricted plumber. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and loving his family and friends.

He is proceeded in death by his parents, Command Sgt. Maj. James Allen Smith, and Ruth Thornton Mullen and Wayne Mullen.

Survivors are his wife, Phyllis Graham Smith; daughters, Mary Alice Smith Craig and husband Larry Michiael Craig Jr., Dorothy Smith Willingham and husband Ronny Willingham Jr.; son Jimmy Wayne Smith and wife Faith Carter Smith; grandchildren, Larry Michael Craig III, Justin Louis Craig, Keith Charles Lee Jr., Jessica Nell Lee, Ashlyn Nell Lee, Tyler Wayne Smith and Ivey Taylor Smith; great grandchildren, Larry Michael Craig IV, Tucker James Craig; sisters, Nan Pace, Wendy Smith; brother, Eric Mullen; aunt Francis Myers and uncle Dan Thornton and several nieces, nephews as well as all children that were blessed to know him as Papa Earl.
