Funeral services for Julia Mae Seale Mullins are Wednesday, Aug. 3, 2016, at 11 a.m. at Franklin Funeral Home in Meadville with burial in Midway Cemetery in Meadville. Rev. Pat Sullivan and Rev. Tony Mullins will officiate. Franklin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation is today from 5 to 8 p.m. and will continue Wednesday, Aug. 3, 2016, from 10 a.m. until time of services at Franklin Funeral Home.

Mrs. Mullins, 91, died Saturday, July 30, 2016, at Meadville Convalescent Home in Meadville. She was born June 13, 1925, in Kirby to David Arthur Seale and MaeBelle Thurman Seale.

Mrs. Mullins, along with her late husband, Tommy Mullins, was an owner, manager and operator of Mullins Department Store in Meadville for many years. She worked at Bank of Franklin for many years and was the bookkeeper for a period of time at the old furniture store in Bude. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and a friend to all.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Arthur David Seale and Maebelle Thurman Seale; husband, Tommy Mullins Jr.; stepson, Tommy Mullins; daughter-in-law, Joyce Cobb Mullins; four sisters; and five brothers.

Survivors are her daughter, Avis Louise Mullins, of Meadville; son, Jeff Mullins and wife, Amy, of Meadville; grandchildren, Taylor, Andrew, and Eleanor; and a special nephew, Bart Jones.

A very special thank you goes out to the staff of Meadville Nursing Home for their many hours of dedicated and faithful service, and a very special caregiver, Mrs. Pearlie Mae Green, “Mae Mae.”

The family requests donations be sent to Gateway Rescue Mission in Jackson, The Baptist Children’s Village in Jackson, The American Cancer Society or the Alzheimer’s Association.
