Funeral services for John Royce Case, of Brookhaven, are 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 6, 2016, at Macedonia Baptist Church in Brookhaven.

Visitation is Monday, Sept. 5, 2016, from 5 to 9 p.m. at Riverwood Family Funeral Service and Tuesday from noon until time of service.

Mr. Case, 67, died Sept. 1, 2016, at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson. He was born Sept. 24, 1948, to John Melvin Case Jr. and Effie Smith Case.

He was a retired educator of 34 and a half years and was also a lifetime member of Macedonia Baptist Church where he served as a deacon for 42 years. He was a graduate of Loyd Star High School, Copiah Lincoln Community College and the University of Southern Mississippi.

Preceding him in death were his parents; sister, LeeRuie Case Smith; and granddaughter, Lynley Ann Case.

Survivors are his wife, Cherri Smith Case; sons, John Nathaniel Case and wife, Lori Ann Case, and Adam Nicholas Case; three grandchildren, John Tate Case, Eleanor Rose Case and Henley Rae Case; and numerous beloved family members and friends.
