Funeral services for Doris M. Thompson, of McComb, are Monday, Sept. 26, 2016, at 1 p.m. at Riverwood Family Funeral Service with burial at Wellman Baptist Church Cemetery.

Visitation will be today, Sept. 25, 2016, from 5 to 9 p.m. at Riverwood.

Mrs. Thompson, 77, died Friday, Sept. 23, 2016, at Countrybrook Living Center.

She was born on Oct. 29, 1938. She was a member of Wellman Baptist Church.

Preceding her in death were her father, Frank Mead; mother, Ottie Mae Graves; husband, Versie “Buddy” Thompson; sons, Johnny Frank “Sparkey” Thompson and James Lamar Thompson; brother, F.A. Mead; and sisters, Dot May and Helen Morris.

Survivors are her fiance James Anderson; son, Versie Wendell Thompson; daughter, Maggie Thompson and fiance, Glenn Bardwell; brother, Vertis Mead; sisters, Grace Greer and Eddie Ruth Maier; 11 grandchildren, Anthony Conerly, Josh Conerly, Shane Hilburn, Buddy Thompson, Dakota Wallace, Theresa Thompson, Tabitha Martin, Cheyanne Wallace, Shirley Mahaffey, Lisa Taylor and Tiffany Taylor; and 10 great-grandchildren.
