Memorial services and a family gathering for David E. Applewhite, of McCall Creek, are Saturday, Oct. 1, 2016, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at New Salem Baptist Church in McCall Creek. Brookhaven Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Applewhite, 53, died Wednesday, Sept. 14, 2016, at his residence, He was born May 18, 1963, in Natchez, to Melvin and Mildred Fortenberry Applewhite. He enjoyed riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle. He was a loving son, brother, dad, uncle, grandfather and friend.

Preceding him in death were his parents.

Survivors are his daughter, Trista Applewhite of Granville, West Virginia; sisters, Lisa M. Taylor of Norco, Louisiana, and Shari Applewhite Mancuso and husband Nic, of McComb; four grandchildren; special friend, Mary A. Case; and a host of family and friends.
