Funeral services for Betty Jean Montgomery Lambert will be on Saturday, Oct. 1, 2016, at 10 a.m. at Brookhaven Funeral Home (Natchez Drive) with burial to follow in the Wellman Baptist Church Cemetery in Bogue Chitto. Bro. David Peavey will officiate. Brookhaven Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Visitation will be Friday, Sept. 30, 2016, from 5 to 8 p.m. t the funeral home.

Mrs. Lambert, 83, died Thursday, Sept. 29, 2016, at Brook Manor Nursing Home in Brookhaven. She was born on Oct. 28, 1932, in Ellwood City, Pennsylvania, to Thomas James and Celia H. Shelton Montgomery. She enjoyed playing the piano, cooking, and she loved her cocker spaniels. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband of 26 years, Wayne Edward Lambert; sisters, Bertha Montgomery and Thelma Montgomery Thomas; and brothers, Donnie Montgomery, Tommy Montgomery and Robert David Montgomery.

Survivors are her daughters, Kathryn Elaine Jackson and husband Bob and Sarah Lee Laird and her husband George; sons, Daniel Wayne Lambert and wife Sandra and Jamey Edward Lambert and wife Tera; grandchildren, Randy Jackson and wife Brandi, Megan Legendre and husband Jeremy, Kristin Lambert, Wayne Lambert, Brad Lambert and Dakota Laird; great-grandchildren, Baileigh Jackson, Taylor Jackson and Westyn Legendre; sisters-in-law Dinah Fay Hall and Patsy Martel.
