Private graveside services will be at Pinecrest Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Covington, Louisiana.

E.J. Fielding Funeral Home in Covington, Louisiana is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Grice, 86, a native of Brookhaven and longtime resident of Morgan City, Louisiana, died on Thursday, Sept. 29, 2016, in River Ridge, Louisiana with her family at her bedside. She filled her life with joy in her home and family, worked tirelessly alongside her husband in his photography business, read voraciously and was a joy to all who knew her.

Preceding her in death were her parents O.B. Magee and Flora Smith Magee Wooten (Brookhaven); husband, Jesse Thomas Grice; granddaughter, Elizabeth Lynn Daspit and cherished companion, Joe Baker.

Survivors are her children, Jenny Tagert, of New Orleans, Jesse Thomas “Tom” Grice Jr., of Dallas, and Janie Grice, of Collingwood, Ontario, Canada; her grandchildren, Jessica Moore and husband, Kevin, of Abita Springs, Louisiana, Tom Daspit and wife, Kelly, of Birmingham, Alabama, and Joanna Tagert and husband, Robbie Cluck, of San Fransico, California; great-grandchildren, McKae, Jace, and Miley Moore and Aanae, Evan, and Pippa Daspit; and sister, Betsy Magee Brown and husband, Michael K. Brown, of New Orleans, Louisiana.
