Funeral services for Bud Halford, formerly of Meadville, are Wednesday, Oct. 26, 2016, at 11 a.m. at Providence Baptist Church Cemetery with burial at the church cemetery. Bro. Herman Aldridge will officiate. Franklin Funeral Home in Meadville is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation will be at the funeral home today, Oct. 25, 2016, from 5 to 8 p.m. and will continue Wednesday, Oct. 26, 2016, at the church from 10 a.m. until time of services.

Mr. Halford, 62, died Monday, Oct. 24, 2016, at Baptist Medical Center in Jackson. He was born in Meadville Jan. 19, 1954, to Aaron T. “Bully” and Grace Helen Bonds Halford.

He was a member of Providence Baptist Church. He completed school at Jones Memorial School in Monroe and enjoyed coloring pictures, putting jigsaw puzzles together, eating good food, watching sports on TV and spending time with his nieces and nephews. He was a loving son, brother, uncle, great uncle and friend.

Preceding him in death were his parents his parents; a brother, Larry L. “Skeeter” Halford, a brother-in-law, Walter Oakman.

Survivors are his sisters, Alma Halford Cochran, of Pearl, Martha Halford Oakman, of Clinton, and Debbie Halford Adams and husband Randy of Brookhaven; a brother, Johnny Halford of Terry; a sister-in-law, Debbie Bankston Halford of Meadville; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staffs of Baptist Medical Center and Franklin Funeral Home. The family requests donations be sent to Providence Baptist Church or Providence Baptist Church Cemetery Fund.
