Funeral services for Charlie Eugene Bates, of Jackson, formally of Bogue Chitto are incomplete. Williams Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Bates, 59, died Saturday, Oct. 22, 2016, at the University of Mississippi Medical Center.

Funeral services for Jack Kenneth Griffith, of Sontag, are Wednesday, Oct. 26, 2016, at 11 a.m. at Riverwood Family Funeral Home services with burial at Shiloh Baptist Church Cemetery.

Visitation will be today, Oct. 25, 2016, from 5 until 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Griffith, 82, died Saturday, Oct. 22, 2016 at his residence. He was born Sept. 6, 1934.He worked at Chevron in production and was in the Merchant Marines for 13 years.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Willard Griffith and Nannie Smith Griffith; wife, Janice Terry Griffith; and brothers and sisters.

Survivors are his daughters, Tricia Calhoun and Janel Jergins; a sister, Louise Callender four grandchildren, Brent Branch, Dylan Branch, Ty Jergins and Holly Jergins, and other loving family members.
