Funeral services for Joe Stephen McFadden, of Brookhaven, will be today, Oct. 27, 2016, at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church at 11 a.m. with burial in the Union Church Cemetery. Bro. Kent Cochran will officiate the services. Brookhaven Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Visitation will be today, Oct. 27, 2016, at 10 a.m. at the church until time of service.

Mr. McFadden, 64, died on Tuesday, Oct. 25, 2016, at his residence with his loving family by his side. He was born on Aug. 31, 1952, in Brookhaven, to Evonne Smith and John Elton McFadden. He enjoyed fishing, New Orleans Saints football and his grandchildren. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend.

Preceding him in death were his parents.

Survivors are his wife of 44 years, Sheila Buie McFadden; daughter, Sherrie Lynn Welch and husband Rob, of Brookhaven; son, Shawn McFadden and wife Brandi, of Brookhaven, grandchildren; Brooklyn Rose McFadden, Talon Gage Welch, and Connor Stephen McFadden; brother, Larry McFadden and wife Verna, of Brookhaven, sister- in-law, Sandra Fauver and husband Albert, of Brookhaven; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
