West Lincoln’s junior high basketball teams tipped off the 2016 season Tuesday by winning three of four games at Enterprise.

The Enterprise seventh grade girls team came away victorious with a 31-10 win over the Lady Bears. Abby Richardson led the Lady Jackets with 14 points. Bailee Goodson and Abby Jackson led West Lincoln with three points each.

West Lincoln’s seventh grade boys rolled to a 36-14 win over Enterprise. Enrico Price led the Bears with 11 points, while Briar Hamilton added eight points. J.R. Brown provided four points for Enterprise.

In junior high girls action, West Lincoln cruised to a 24-12 win over Enterprise. Brittany Sturkey paced the Lady Bears with nine points. Shauna Hewitt led the Lady Jackets with six points.

In junior high boys action, West Lincoln escaped with a 30-27 win over the Jackets. Jeff Carroll netted 15 points for the Bears, while Enterprise was led by Jay Jones’s 11-point effort.

West Lincoln’s junior high teams will return to the hardwood Tuesday when they host Loyd Star for four games. The action tips off at 4 p.m. in Jack Case Gymnasium.
