Funeral services for Ra Vae Britt Raney, of Wesson, are Saturday, Oct. 29, 2016, 11 a.m. at Sylvarena Baptist Church with burial in the  Church Cemetery. Riverwood Family Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation is Saturday, Oct. 29, 2016, from 9 until time of service at the church.

Mrs. Raney, 57, died Wednesday, Oct. 26, 2016, at her residence. She was born Dec. 1, 1958.

She was a loving mother and wife. She was a member of Sylvarena Baptist Church where she was a member of the church choir and was a Sunday school teacher. She was an elementary school teacher for over 30 years.

Preceding her in death were her father, James Monroe Britt Sr; infant son, Aven Paul Raney; brother, James Monroe Britt Jr. and Merrill and Helen Ferguson.

Survivors are her mother, Oris Lynelle Britt; husband, Kelcy Raney; mother-in-law, Joyce Raney; daughters, Lauren L. Raney and Rusti L. Raney Rippy and husband Chris; brothers, Cody Britt and wife Renee; brother-in-law, Bill Raney and wife Paula; sisters-in-law, Ginger Raney Kuhn and Betty Joyce Raney Wilson and husband Mike; two grandchildren, Gage Wyatt Rippy and Braxton Lee Rippy; Sean Jaudon, who was like a son; nieces, Morgan Kuhn and Alex Kuhn; nephews, Mike Raney, Taylor Clopton, George Raney and wife Brandy, Brad Britt, Jimmy Britt and Dewayne Smith,  special friend and caregiver, Joni Cone.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Sylvarena Baptist Church Cemetery Fund.
