Funeral services for Richard Grant Case Jr., of Brookhaven, are at 1:30 p.m. today, Sunday, Oct. 30, 2016, at Faith Presbyterian Church of Brookhaven with a private family burial. Rev. Bruce Case and Rev. Russ Hightower will officiate.

Visitation was Saturday, Oct. 29, 2016, from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. at Faith Presbyterian Church. Riverwood Family Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Case, 33, died Thursday, Oct. 27, 2016. He was born June 8, 1983, to Richard Grant Case Sr. and Beverly Bane Case.

He was a proud 2001 graduate of Brookhaven Academy where he played football, tennis and golf. Upon graduation, he attended Copiah Lincoln Community College. He was an escort in the 2003 Krewe of Ceres Annual Charity Ball. Grant worked as a model for Kinkade’s Fine Clothing in Ridgeland.. He was also a featured extra in movies filmed in Mississippi and Louisiana.

Grant’s love for golf led to his employment at Country Club of Jackson and Patrick Farms Golf Club for six and a half years. He was most recently employed as the assistant golf pro at Fernwood Country Club in McComb under golf pro Beck Troutman. He was thankful for this opportunity that had allowed him to move back home to Brookhaven.

Grant attended Faith Presbyterian Church and First United Methodist Church of Brookhaven.

Grant was born into two loving families of Brookhaven — the Bane and Case families.

Growing up close to family, he loved time spent playing with his brother, Collins, and numerous cousins, especially on the beaches of Perdido Key, Florida, for the annual Case family beach trip.

Grant was loved by his family and many friends throughout the state of Mississippi. Grant was a beloved uncle of his two favorite little girls, Lillie Houston Case and Mae Elizabeth Case.

Preceding him in death were his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Clinton Eugene Bane and Mr. and Mrs. Houston S. Case.

Survivors are his parents, Richard Grant Case Sr. and Beverly Bane Case, of Brookhaven; brother, Collins Bane Case (Lauren), of Anacortes, Washington; two nieces, Lillie Houston Case and Mae Elizabeth Case, of Anacortes, Washington; uncles Jerry Case (Virginia), Steve Case (Ellen), Clint Bane and Allen Bane; aunts, Kay Case Boone (Steve), Mary Bane and Bunny Bane Lea; cousin and best friend, Rosanna Lea, who was like a sister; cousins, who were like siblings, Warren Teague, Brad Teague, Bruce Case, Catti Case Beals, Liz Case Woodward, Addie Case, Houston Case, Terrell Case, McKinley Case Walden, John Davis, Lindsey Davis, Hallie Bane Greene, Duncan Bane and Patton Bane.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Brookhaven Animal Rescue League at 501 North Park Lane, Brookhaven, MS 39601.
