Funeral services for Ethelene Baggett Henderson Jones, of Sontag, are Thursday, Nov. 3, 2016, at Mt. Pleasant M.B. Church at 1 p.m. with burial at the church cemetery. Williams Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Jones, 64, died Friday, Oct. 28, 2016, at her residence. She was born July 31, 1952, to Willie D. Baggett and Mae Ethel Lewis Baggett. She was a 1970 graduate of McCullough High School in Monticello. She retired in 2004 from Wal-mart Distribution after 17 years of service. She was a member of Pleasant M.B. Church where she sang in the choir.
Preceding her in death were her first husband; Edward Lee “Tom” Henderson, a son; Edward Marquis “Quisy” Henderson, sisters; Billy Jean Baggett and Earnestine Baggett, brothers; Larry Baggett and James Taylor.
Survivors are her husband; Lonnie Jones Jr., of Sontag, a daughter, Katina Henderson, of Brookhaven; a stepson, Lonnie Jones III, of Hazlehurst; seven sisters, Jenifer Baggett, of Sontag, Beverly Baggett, of Sontag, Celestine Thompson, of Sontag, Ethel Coleman and husband John, of Loyd Star, Ruthie Byrd, of Loyd Star, Annie Lee Henderson, of Loyd Star, and Rosie Lee White of Loyd Star; eight brothers, Linza Baggett and wife Rosa, of Sontag, Willie Baggett and wife Cheryl, of Sontag, Alphonso Baggett, of Sontag, Minister Clarence Baggett and wife Jeanne, of Lithonia, Georgia; Kenneth Taylor and wife Annie, of Gulfport, Harold Henderson and wife Karen, of Loyd Star, Charles Henderson and wife Ann, of Loyd Star, and Versie Henderson Jr., of Loyd Star; and three grandchildren, KaDarra Johnson, of Brookhaven, KaReco Jackson, of Brookhaven, and Tytianna Brothern, of Brookhaven.
