William and Donna Little, of Hazlehurst, announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Virginia Beth Little, to Matthew Daniel Alexander.

He is the son of Kenny Alexander and Dana Alexander, of Brookhaven.

She is the granddaughter of  the late Billy Thornton, the late Bertha Thornton, of Hazlehurst, the late Moody Little and the late Joy Little of New Hebron.

He is the grandson of Danny Watts, Beverly Cato Watts, of Brookhaven, the late C.L. Alexander and Laura Alexander, of Bogue Chitto.

The bride-elect is a 2008 graduate of Copiah Academy and a graduate of University of Southern Mississippi, where she received a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. She is currently pursing a Master of Arts in Christian education from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary.

The prospective groom is a 2005 graduate of Brookhaven Academy and graduate of Mississippi College, where he received a Bachelor of Arts in Christian Studies. He recevied a Master of Divinity in 2012 from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas. He is currently pursuing a Doctorate of Ministry in Expository Preaching from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. He serves as the pastor of Meadville Baptist Church in Meadville.

The couple will exchange vows at 6 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 3, 2016, at First Baptist Church in Hazlehurst. A reception will follow at Odonato, home of Dr. Ted Dear.

All friends and relatives are invited to attend the wedding and the reception.
