A McComb man was arrested on charges of aggravated assault for allegedly shooting someone walking on the track at Southwest Mississippi Regional Medical Center.
Stevie Joe White, 42, of 219 Martin Luther King Jr. Drive, allegedly shot the 67-year-old man in the leg while he was exercising at the walking track, said detective Victoria Carter with the McComb Police Department.
The track is located at the intersection of White Street and Llewelyn Avenue.
Carter said White and the victim had been going through a feud leading up to the alleged incident, which took place at about 2:50 a.m. Tuesday. Carter said the victim walked the track every morning for exercise.
SRMC security responded to the incident. The victim was able to receive medical attention before being released with non-life threatening injuries, Carter said.
