Memorial services for Julia Ann Mejia are today, Sunday, Nov. 13, 2016, at 2:30 p.m. at Brookhaven Funeral Home (Natchez Drive) in Brookhaven. Rev. Lloyd Blount and Rev. Regina Blount will officiate the service. Brookhaven Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Visitation was Saturday, Nov. 12, 2016, from 5 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Mejia, 60, died Thursday, Nov. 10, 2016, at Baptist Medical Center in Jackson, with her loving family by her side. She was born in Brookhaven on June 29, 1956, to Johnny and Margie McKee.

She enjoyed music, gardening and her family. She was a loving wife, mother and friend.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Johnny and Margie McKee.

Survivors are her husband of 29 years, Donald Mejia Jr., of Brookhaven; daughter, Rachel Mejia, of Brookhaven; son, Donald (Joey) Mejia III, of Brookhaven; sisters, Susan Robertson and husband, Kenneth, of Gulfport, Angela Smith, of Brookhaven, Teresa Abrams and husband, Russell, of Bogue Chitto; brother, Jonathan McKee, of Bogue Chitto; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
