Funeral services for Thomas Alan Burt, of Brookhaven, are Friday, Nov. 18, 2016, at Brookhaven Funeral Home (Natchez Drive) at 11 a.m. with burial in the Wellman Baptist Church Cemetery in the Enterprise Community. Bro. Thomas Wicker will officiate the service.

Visitation will be Thursday, Nov. 17, 2016, from 5 to 8 p.m. and will continue on Friday, Nov. 18, 2016, from 10 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.

Mr. Burt, 47, died, Sunday, Nov. 13, 2016, at his residence in New Roads, Louisiana. He was born Sept. 27, 1969, in Brookhaven, to Bill and Judy Lewis Burt. He was a member at Wellman Baptist Church, worked for many years as a boilermaker and enjoyed fishing, hunting arrowheads and working. He was a loving son, brother, father, grandfather and friend.

Preceding him in death were his grandparents, Julius and Myrtle Burt, and D A Lewis.

Survivors are his parents; daughter, Brittany Burt Reeves, of Bogue Chitto; sons, Devin Burt, Dillon Burt and Justin Burt, all of Bogue Chitto; brother, Jim Burt and wife Kristie, of Bogue Chitto; grandmother, Shirley Lewis Cupit, of Bogue Chitto; grandchildren, Hailey Reeves, Sophie Reeves, Ryder Burt and Bray Burt, and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Pallbearers are Devin Burt, Dillon Burt, Justin Burt, Jim Burt, Kyle Burt and Brooks Burt. Honorary pallbearer is Brad Burt.
