The Enterprise Yellow Jackets’ baseball team will soon have a place to get ready for their home games.

The Lincoln County School Board voted unanimously Monday to allow the Enterprise Baseball Boosters to build a field house for the team.

In a letter to the board, head coach Cass Brister said the team “had nowhere for them to change clothes and get ready for games.”

Lincoln County Superintendent Mickey Myers said the booster club had materials donated worth about $1,800 and would also provide the labor.

“It’s no cost to the district,” Myers said.

The boys’ field house will be located next to the ball field.

“I think they’re ready to start immediately,” he said.

The softball team already has a nice facility, he said.

“I’m quite certain it was built the same way,” Myers said.
