Graveside services for Rev. Robert L. Dunn Sr., of Brookhaven, are today, Sunday, Dec.11, 2016, at 3:30 p.m. at Carmel Baptist Church cemetery in Monticello. His sons will officiate the service. Wilson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation was held Saturday, Dec. 10, 2016, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the church and will continue today, Sunday, Dec. 11, 2016, at 10 a.m. until the time of services at the church.

Rev. Robert L. Dunn Sr., 86, died Thursday, Dec. 8, 2016, at Lawrence County Hospital. Bro. Robert was born Feb. 16, 1930, to Dours and Maude Lee Dunn. He pastored churches in Alabama and Mississippi for more than 60 years.  Heaven alone will reveal the impact of his ministry.  He was a faithful soldier of the cross with a passionate love for people.   

Preceding him in death were his wife of 65 years Aline Hedgepeth Dunn; parents; brothers, Dours Dunn and Willie Dunn; sisters, Lillie Mae Delaughter, Zelma Lee Thurman, Helen Cobb and Merle Hill.

Survivors are his 3sons, R. Leon Dunn Jr. and wife, Karen, of Hammond, Louisiana, Dennis E. Dunn and wife, Darlene, of Saraland, Alabama, David E. Dunn, of Monticello, Mark E. Dunn and wife, Susan, of Jackson, Alabama; daughter, Robyn Dunn Payment of Brandon; sister, Mozelle Williamson, of Monticello;  grandchildren, Rob, Chris, Amanda, Tracie, Samuel, Joshua, Tiffanie, Brittnie, Whittnie, Matt and Mackenzie; seven great-grandchildren and a host of family members and friends. 

Pallbearers are Rob Dunn, Chris Dunn, Samuel Dunn, Joshua Dunn, Matt Payment, Brandon Strickland, Brandon Chancellor and Kenneth Harbuck.
