Funeral services for Dorothy Nell Sproles Oberschmidt, of Brookhaven, are today, Dec. 27, 2016, at 2:30 p.m. at Riverwood Family Funeral Service with burial at Heucks Retreat Baptist Church Cemetery.

Visitation is today, Dec. 27, 2016, from 1 until time of service at the funeral home.

Mrs. Oberschmidt, 86, died at King’s Daughters Medical Center Dec. 24, 2016. She was born Jan. 22, 1930, to John Wilson Sproles and Mary Lou Rudder Sproles.

She was a member of Heuck’s Retreat Baptist Church.

Preceding her in death were her parents; brother, Dub Sproles; and sister, Tippy Simmons.

Survivors are her husband of 68 years, Bill Oberschmidt; daughter, Brenda Webber and husband, Bo, of Brookhaven; Scotty Oberschmidt and wife, Kathy, of Apple Valley, California; Billy Oberschmidt and wife, Sandy, of Brookhaven; Dwayne Oberschmidt and wife, Sarah, of Brookhaven; nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and other loving family members.

Memorials may be made to The Baptist Children’s Village.
