Funeral services for Myrtis Marie Miller Thompson, of Bogue Chitto, are Wednesday, Jan. 4, 2017, at noon at Wellman Baptist Church with burial at the church cemetery. Riverwood Family Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation is today, Jan. 3, from 5-8 p.m. at the church and she will lie in state from 10 a.m. until time of service at the church on Wednesday.

Mrs. Thompson, 71, died Sunday, Jan. 1, 2017, at her residence. She was born June 2, 1945.

She was an office administrator with Brookhaven Equipment Company and was a member of Wellman Baptist Church.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Versie Miller and Estelle Rutland Miller; and sons, William Thompson and John T. Thompson.

Survivors include her husband, Gene Thompson; sons, Mike Pepper and wife, Rhonda and Leslie Thompson and wife, Kathy; daughter, Angie Fortin and husband, Dwayne; brothers, Wade Miller and wife, Erin and John Miller and wife, Janice; and 10 grandchildren.
