City and county offices closing early, several basketball games canceled tonight, schools dismissed early

The Lincoln County Government Complex in Brookhaven will close at 3 p.m. because of inclement weather, said Lincoln County Chancery Clerk Tillmon Bishop.
Brookhaven Mayor Joe Cox said city offices will also close at 3 p.m.
Area schools also dismissed early today.
Several basketball games and at least one soccer game scheduled for tonight have been cancelled because of the weather.
They are:
Brookhaven at Natchez
Enterprise at Bassfield
Bogue Chitto at North Pike
Wesson at Jefferson County
Brookhaven soccer vs. Wesson
The games will be rescheduled at a later date.
Area schools dismissed early today because of the hazardous driving conditions expected later this afternoon.
