Funeral services for Edward “Yogi” Rogers Bruce, of Brookhaven, are Wednesday, Jan. 11, 2017, at 11 a.m. at Riverwood Family Funeral Service with burial at Riverwood Memorial Park in Brookhaven.

Visitation will be Wednesday, Jan. 11, 2017, from 10 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home.

Mr. Bruce, 81, died Sunday, Jan. 8, 2017, peacefully at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born Jan. 19, 1935.  He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Brookhaven.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Douglas Bruce and Julia Meriweather Bruce.

Survivors are his wife, Shirley Williams Bruce; sons, Edward Rogers Bruce Jr. and wife Janet, of Natchez, Andrew Wesley Bruce and Tealy Ballard, of Brookhaven; daughters Deborah Bruce Moffett and husband, John, of Natchez, and Stephanie Bruce Johnson and Mike Wilson, of Columbus; sister, Dorothy Louise McClellan, of Greenwood; 10 grandchildren, Sarah Beth Welch and husband Jerod, Ward Bruce and wife Lori, Amy Smith, Anna Laura Orr and husband Enoch, and Catherine Smith, all of Natchez; Elizabeth Selkey and husband Allen, of Gulf Breeze, Florida, Valerie Boykin and husband Gabe, of Tupelo, Max Branch and wife Andrea, Bruce Branch and wife Abby and Matthew Johnson and wife Sunny, all of Columbus; and 20 great-grandchildren.

Memorials can be made to the First United Methodist Church Building Fund or Hospice Ministries.
