Memorial services for Peggy Outten, of Ruth, are Saturday, Jan. 28, 2017, at 10 a.m. at Topisaw Baptist Church in Bogue Chitto.

Mrs. Outten, 82, died Wednesday, Jan. 18, 2017, in the comfort of her daughter’s home in Ruth. She was born in Virginia Oct. 1, 1934, where she lived most of her life before moving to Mississippi in Aug. 2007. She loved her family, working in her yard, growing beautiful flowers, and working with children. After her children were grown, she worked with special needs children in the Virginia Beach School System until she retired in 2005.

Preceding her in death were her beloved husband, John Francis Outten Sr.; her father, Orville Roy Brandt Sr.; mother, Ella Lee Brandt; brother, Orville Roy Brandt Jr.; and sister, Ella Mae Bridges.

Survivors are her daughter, Linda Reeves; son-in-law, Danny Reeves; son, John Francis Outten Jr.; daughter-in-law, Mary Outten; sisters, Shirley Bailey and Lucille Mater; grandchildren: Julie Reeves Hunt, Eric Reeves, and Daniel Reeves; four great- grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Her life will forever be cherished in the lives of her family and friends.
