Funeral Service for Billy Joe Price, of Bogue Chitto, are Saturday, Jan. 28, 2017, at 11 a.m. at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church with burial at the church cemetery. Riverwood Family Funeral Service in Brookhaven is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation will be Friday, Jan. 27, 2017, from 5 to 9 p.m. and will continue Saturday, Jan. 28, 2017, from 10 a.m. until the time of service at the church. 

Mr. Price, 87, died Sunday, Jan. 22, 2017, at his residence. He was born Jan. 10, 1930. He served in the U.S. Army and was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. He was retired as a justice court judge and a member of Masonic Lodge #260 of Bogue Chitto. He was an avid white perch fisherman (tied his own jigs), and loved to tell jokes with friends and loved ones.

Preceding him in death were his wife, Margie and his parents, Murph Price and Clara Boyte Price; five brothers and two sisters.

Survivors are his sons, Billy Price and wife Tammy, Adam Price and wife Susan, all of Bogue Chitto; daughters, Ann Picklesimer and husband Jack, of Bogue Chitto and Sandy Nuccitelli and husband Dave, of Colleyville, Texas; special daughters, Nellie Reed of Brookhaven and Brenda May, of Bogue Chitto; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.
