A Brookhaven man died in a one-vehicle collision Monday on Macedonia Road north of Hwy.  550, authorities said.

Joseph Marshall, 70, of Brookhaven, was pronounced dead at the scene about 2:30 p. m.  by Lincoln County Coroner Clay McMorris.

Marshall was driving a 2009 GMC truck was traveling south  on Macedonia Road when it left the road on the right side and struck a tree, said Lincoln County Sheriff Steve Rushing.  Marshall was alone in the vehicle.

The crash remains under investigation by the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office.
