Funeral services for J. Hugh Dixon Jr., of Biloxi, are Saturday, Feb. 4, 2017, at 11 a.m. at Mt. Wade M. B. Church in Brookhaven with burial at Hillcrest Cemetery in Brookhaven. Where Rev. Phillip Hamilton is the pastor. Rev. Charles Caston will officiate the services. R. E. Tyler Funeral Home in Brookhaven is in charge of arrangements. 

Visitation will be Friday, Feb. 3, 2017, from noon to 6 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Dixon, 45, died Sunday, Jan. 28, 2017, at his residence.

He was born July 20, 1971, in Brookhaven, to J. Hugh Dixon Sr. and Alice Ann Wesley Dixon. He was a 1989 graduate of Brookhaven High School and Jackson State University. He received his master’s degree at Belhaven College. He was a member of Beulah Chapel M. B. Church in Brookhaven. As a Pittsburgh Steelers fan, he was in the Pittsburgh Steelers Club of the South. He was a senior auditor for the Department of Homeland Security.

Preceding him in death was his father.

Survivors are his mother; sisters, Kayla Evette Dixon Freeman, of Brookhaven, and Maronda Elise Dixon, of Flowood; niece, Allison M. Freeman; nephew, Mark Nicholas Freeman, Brookhaven.
