Memorial services for Gertrude Francis Hoffmann Sampson, of Wesson, will be held at a later date. Brookhaven Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Sampson, 61, died Tuesday, Jan. 31, 2017, at her residence with her loving family by her side. She was born May 19, 1955, in Jersey City, New Jersey, to James Edward Hoffmann and Gertrude Francis Bogart. She enjoyed camping, needlepoint and listening to music. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She was of the Baptist faith.

Preceding her in death were her parents; sister, Dottie Bomhard; brothers, Dennis Hoffmann and Arthur Bomhard.

Survivors are her husband of 38 years, George A. Sampson; daughters, Theresa Hough and husband Michael, Christina Materazzi and Samantha Sampson; sons, Jeffrey A. Hoffmann and George Vanblarcom; eight grandchildren; brother, Jimmy Hoffmann Jr. and a host of family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials and donations can be made in Gertrude F. Sampson’s name to Trustmark National Bank, in Wesson.
