Copiah-Lincoln Community College guard Brittany Rose was named MACJC Player of the Week on Tuesday after her stand out performances last week versus Pearl River and Jones County. Rose, a graduate of Lanier High School in Jackson, finished the week with 50 points, four rebounds and seven assists. The freshman scored a career-high 31 points Thursday night as the Lady Wolves lost at the buzzer to No. 17 Jones County Junior College. Rose leads the Lady Wolves in scoring, averaging 15.2 points per game and is shooting 45.2 percent on the year.

“I know that hard work got me here,” Rose said. “The moment I stop working hard and pushing myself to achieve my goal it could all go away. Never give up until you have given your all…it’s better to fail trying than to be left wondering what could have happened if you tried.”
