Funeral services for Susan Julia Porter Kraft, of McComb, are Wednesday, Feb. 8, 2017, at noon at Sharkey Funeral Home in Summit with burial at Hollywood Cemetery. Rev. Justin Woulard, Rev. Bob Lynch and Dr. Mark Byrd will officiate.

Visitation will be Wednesday, Feb. 8, 2017, from 9 a.m. until the time of services at the funeral home.

Mrs. Kraft, 67, died Sunday, Feb. 5, 2017, at her residence. She was born June 30, 1949, in Brookhaven.  She was the daughter of the late Paul T. and Jacqueline Ballard Porter. She retired from the City of McComb, where she was a grant writer and purchasing agent.  She was a member of Central Baptist Church in McComb where she was a member of CIA.  She loved to paint, garden and served in numerous volunteer positions with her church and other community activities including the organizing of WINGS with her friend, Jean Spring.

Survivors are her husband of 49 years, Ronnie H. Kraft, of McComb; daughter and son-in-law, Mary and Mark Byrd, of Madison; son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Jenni Kraft, of Brookhaven; four granddaughters, Anna Kris and Allie Byrd, of Madison, Campbell and Ballard Kraft, of Brookhaven; one sister, Paula Buford and husband, Guy, of Brandon; and two nephews, Paul Buford, of Brandon and Tom Buford, of Madison.

Pallbearers will be John Ryan, Thomas Ryan, Jack Ryan, Henry Anderson, Paul Buford and Tom Buford.  Honorary pallbearers will be deacons of Central Baptist Church.
