Funeral services for Samuel William Roberts, of Brookhaven, are Thursday, Feb. 9, 2017, at 1 p.m. at Topisaw Baptist Church with burial at Montgomery Baptist Church Cemetery. Riverwood Family Funeral Services in Brookhaven is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation is today, Feb. 8, 2017, from 5 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home. He will lie in state Thursday, Feb. 8, 2017, from noon until time of service at the church.

Mr. Roberts, 80, died Tuesday, Feb. 7, 2017, at his residence. He was born Sept. 20, 1936. He served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Lee Roy Roberts and Myrtis Inez Roberts; two sisters, Pauline Hall, Gennie Varnado; and one brother Bobby Gene Roberts.

Survivors are his wife, Judith Roberts; son, Randall Lynn Roberts and wife Debbie; daughters, Tracey Roberts McWhorter and husband James, Misty Dispano and husband Jody; two brothers, Clinton Davis and wife Linda, Robert Lee Davis and wife Jennifer; sisters Inez Johnston, Linda Johnson, Glenda Allen, Mattie Peterson, Louise Busby and husband Tommy, Janie Hart and husband Gary; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
