MBI cold case: Man missing since 2015
State authorities are asking for the public’s help locating a Lawrence County man who has been missing since 2015.
Bruce Anthony McCurdy, 49, was last seen in the Hinds and Rankin County area in August two years ago. His red Nissan GMC truck was found 10 days later in the Silver Creek community, Warren Strain, communications director for the Mississippi Department of Public Safety, said Thursday.
Silver Creek is 28 miles east of Brookhaven.
Strain said the Mississippi Bureau of Investigations hopes someone may have some new information about McCurdy’s disappearance.
McCurdy is 5-foot-9 and weighs around 170 pounds. He has brown eyes and black hair, though he may be wearing a bald haircut. He had a birthday last week.
Stain said investigators of the cold case have not ruled out foul play. “They’re trying to find some new information that would help the case move forward,” he said.
If anyone has information regarding McCurdy’s whereabouts, call MBI at 601-987-1530.
