A Brookhaven man remains in a Jackson hospital following an assault Saturday night that left serious cuts on his neck, authorities said.
Brookhaven police were called shortly before 10 p.m. about an individual “covered with blood,” Brookhaven Police Capt. Clint Earls said.
The man was treated by emergency medical personnel and airlifted to University of Mississippi Medical Center. His condition was not available Monday night, but Earls did not believe his injuries were life-threatening.
Shortly after, police received another call about a disturbance and vandalism at an apartment in the Cloverdale subdivision. Officers found broken windows at the apartment, he said.
Earls said the two calls are related and involve a domestic dispute.
Police have several suspects in the assault and the vandalism and multiple arrests are expected, Earls said.
